雪でつくったかまどに薪を入れて燃やすことから始まり、高さ5メートルくらいの長木に稲藁などを巻き付けて雪に立てた天筆に火をつけ、正月の門松などを焼き一年の無事を祈ります。

Start with burning firewood in the snow oven, then pray for safety for the year by burning New Year's gate pine trees with Tempitsu (heaven brush) in snow fired by 5 M woods wrapped with rice straw.
