能代役七夕は、秋田県能代市で開催される伝統の七夕祭りです。田楽、お囃子、太鼓とともに城郭型の大若燈籠を引いて旧市内を運行し、翌日には灯篭上部にあるシャチに火をつけて米代川に流します。能代七夕、能代ねぶながしとも呼ばれています。
地響きのような太鼓、夜空に華麗に響く笛の音色、暖かくも力強く輝く巨大な灯籠は、とても力強く迫力があります。

This is a traditional Tanabata star festival held in Noshiro in Akita Prefecture. There is a parade in the older part of the city with large castle shaped lanterns accompanied by dancing, traditional music and drums. The lanterns are lit on fire and floated down the Yoneshiro River the following day. Noshiro Tanabata is also known as Noshiro Nebunagasi, or the Noshiro lantern flowing festival.
