ゑびす様、大黒様を乗せた屋形船と神輿が町内を練り歩きます。クライマックスは0時頃神社参道を焦がす300本の松明の上を厄年の男衆が神輿を担いで駆け抜ける勇壮な祭り（新治神社例大祭）。とやまの祭り百選に選定されている。また、2016年1月に黒部市無形民俗文化財に指定された。

A Mikoshi and a Float boat carrying the Ebisu and Oguro deities are paraded around town. The climax of the festival happens at around 12 AM when 300 torches are lit up on the path leading to the shrine, and the unlucky year men carrying the Mikoshi run through the torches (also known as Niiharu Shrine Annual Main Festival) Chosen as one of the 100 Toyama Festivals.
It was also chosen as Kurobe City's Intangible Folk Cultural Property in January of 2016.
