新潟まつりは、住吉祭、商工祭、川開き、開港記念祭という歴史ある４つの祭りが１つとなり始まりました。金曜日には日本最大級の「民謡流し」「オープニングスターマイン」。土曜日には「住吉行列」「新潟キラキラパレード」「水上みこし渡御」「音楽付き花火ショー」。日曜日には「住吉行列」やクライマックスの「花火大会」などが行われます。

The Niigata Festival began as 4 separate festivals, the Sumiyoshi Festival, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Festival, the Kawabiraki and the Port Opening Festival. Now there are fireworks, portable shrines, and a parade, which all represent Niigata in this spectacular festival.
