リアス式海岸の港町女川町で行われるお祭り。「コガ」と呼ばれる丸い大きな樽に3人が乗り込んで競漕する「海上コガ漕ぎレース」や獅子が船上で舞を披露する「海上獅子舞」などユニークな催しが行われます。締めくくりに行われる花火大会では、約4300発の花火が打ち上げられます。特に400mの大ナイアガラ、超ジャンボ水中スターマインは迫力満点です。

This is a festival that takes place at rias coastline, Onagawa port city. Unique events, such as "sea Koga rowing race" which three people ride on top of big barrel called “Koga” and race for rowing, and "Sea Lion Dance" which showcases the dance of lion on top of the ship, are conducted. About four thousands three hundreds fireworks are launched at the fireworks display for festival closing.
