多賀城跡あやめまつりは特別史跡「多賀城跡」の一角、約2万1千平方メートルのあやめ園にて行われます。650種300万本のあやめ、花菖蒲が咲き誇り、期間中には出店も出店します。土曜日、日曜日には、郷土芸能や万葉の舞の披露、体験コーナーや野だてなども行います。

Taga Castle Ruins Ayame Festival is held at approximately 21,000 square meters Ayame Park which is a part of special historic site “Taga castle ruins .” Six hundred fifty kinds, three millions of ayame and hanashoubu (Iris) bloom, and also street vendors open stall stores during that time. On Saturdays and Sundays, local entertainment and Manyo dance are showcased, and also there are experience corners and outdoor tea ceremony.
