毎年、城山公園河川敷の特設会場で行われる輓馬大会。東北各地からおよそ50頭の馬が集まり、最大975kgの重量をのせたソリを引き、２箇所の障害のある１２０mの直線コースを乗り越えてタイムを競いその力を競い合う。

A draft horse competition held annually at the special venue in the Shiroyama Park river bed. It is a competition with about 50 draft horses coming from all over northern Japan, where they pull sleds weighing 975 kg, with two sections of obstacles. They compete for time in this race.
