今から約８００年以上の昔に旧地で信仰の厚かった 牛頭天王・須佐之男命を奉斎、 天王社して祭ったことが始まりの祭りです。
お党屋という特色ある祭りの組織を中心に執行され、七行器行列や屋台歌舞伎などが行われます。

More than about eight hundred years ago from now,　Goromunemasa Naganuma enshrined Gozu Tenno and Susanoo who were religious at the former terriotry, and worshiped as Tennno shrine. The festival is run by Otouya which is an organization of distinctive festival. Also, you can experience Nanahokai parade and stall store Kabuki.
