丸岡古城まつりは丸岡城での出陣式の後、5万石パレードやおじゃれ餅まきが丸岡城周辺で繰り広げられます。武者行列に子ども大名行列をはじめ、からくり人形山車の巡行など古城ならではの催し物が披露されます。さらには総踊りの輪が城下町を彩り、一層賑わいを見せます。

After the ceremony for going out to battle at the Maruoka Castle, a Gomangoku parade is done around the castle throwing Ojare mochi to the spectators. With the samurai parades, and daimyo parades by children, floats with puppets parade around with other eventful attractions. And the surrounding areas become very active with everyone taking part in the dancing.
