島根県隠岐諸島の島前3島で伝承されている無形民俗文化財「隠岐島前神楽」。その神楽が奉納される祭礼の中でも著名なものがこの西ノ島・焼火神社の例祭です。国の重要文化財にも登録されている社殿で舞われる神楽は、隠岐神楽独特の荘重さを今なお伝えています。
“Okidozen Kagura” is an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of 3 islands in the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture. Among the festivals which garaku is dedicated, this Takuhi Shrine Annual Festival in Nishino Island is famous. The kagura dance, which is performed in front of the shrine pavilion registered for an Important Cultural Property of Japan, conveys the graveness of distinctive Okidozen Kagura even now.
