無病息災・豊年を祈願して厄男は厄を払う行事です。男衆は下帯一つに白い鉢巻、腰に注連縄を巻き、トウガラシを少し入れたくわえ紙を口に、素足にわらじという出で立ちで参加。男衆が厳寒の町を練り歩き、神社にお参りします。
