福山市は戦後、再建復興が進められるなかで住民と福山市が協力して約1,000本のばら苗を植え、見事なばらの花を咲かせました。ここから「ばらのまち福山」が歩みはじめます。
祭りはローズパレードやばらのコンテストなど楽しいイベントが盛りだくさん。ばら祭の前後は、ばら公園や緑町公園のばらが見頃を迎えます。

After the war, Fukuyama focused on rebuilding, and as part of this effort, the citizens and the city worked together to plant 1000 rose bushes, and now a bloom a flower. And this is where the City of Roses, Fukuyama starts.
