旧暦10月。全国の八百万(やおよろず)の神々が出雲の国に集まる月。他の土地では神様が留守になるので神無月といいますが、ここ出雲では神在月と呼びます。 神々が集う出雲の各神社では「神迎祭(かみむかえさい)」に始まり、「神在祭（かみありさい）」そして、全国に神々をお見送りする「神等去出祭(からさでさい)」が行われます。また世の人々の更なる幸縁結びを祈る「縁結大祭」も行われます。

October in the lunar calendar. The month all the gods from the nation gather in Izumo. It is called Kannazuki because all gods are away from their lands, but it is called Kamiaritsuki here in Izumo. At each shrines in Izumo where all gods gather, there are many events held starting "Kamimukae Festival”, "Kamiari Festival" then "Karasade Festival" to give gods a send-off to the nation. "Enmusubi Grand Festival" is also held to pray for people's happier marriage.
