長井あやめ祭りは、長井市のあやめ公園内で開催されるお祭りです。3.3haの公園内に500種100万本のあやめが咲き誇る様子は圧巻です。また、その数や種類もさることながら、長井古種と呼ばれる、長井市のあやめ公園でしか見られない品種が存在します。園内では様々なイベントが行われ、あやめ苗や長井のおいしいものもたくさん販売しています。

Nagai Ayame Festival is held inside Nagai city’s Ayame Park. How five hundred kinds, a million ayame bloom at the 3.3 ha park is overwhelming. Not only the number of flowers and kinds, but you can also see nagaikoshu the type of ayame which can only be found at Nagai city’s Ayame Park. Several events are held within the park, and also young plants of ayame, and delicious food are sold.
