日本さくら名所100選、人と自然が織りなす日本の風景百選に選ばれる弘前公園で行われるお祭り。ソメイヨシノ、シダレザクラなど約50種2,600本の桜が咲き訪れる人を楽しませる。期間中は200もの出店が軒を連ね、日が落ちると特別照明で桜がライトアップされる。「博多どんたく」や「ひろしまフラワーフェスティバル」などと並ぶ日本を代表する春祭りである。

Chosen as one of the 100 Japan Cherry Blossom Sights, a festival held at the Hirosaki Park which is one of Japans 100 greatest scenic places. Visitors are greeted by over 50 different types of cherry blossoms, such as the Somei Yoshino and Shidare Zakura, where over 2600 trees are planted. The cherry blossoms are lit up with special lighting in the evening, and over 200 stalls line the paths during the season. A spring carnival in the ranks along with the famous "Hakata Dontaku" and "Hiroshima Flower Festival".
