十和田八幡平国立公園の観光拠点として、古くは金や銅の産地として栄えてきた秋田県鹿角市。この町に、日本一の祭ばやしと評価されている夏祭り「花輪ばやし」があります。絢爛豪華な十の屋台が集合し、二日間に渡り競演を繰り広げます。祭りが行われる毎年、８月１９日・２０日は、地元の人はもちろん観光客も訪れて、華やかな賑わいを見せます。2015年に「花輪祭の屋台行事」として、国重要無形民俗文化財に指定されました。

Towadahachimandaira National Park being the center of tourism for Kazuno-shi in Akita-ken, the city known to have been a mining town for gold and copper, and prospered from this. The Hanawa Bayashi for the summer festival is said to be the Japan's number 1 festival dance. It is played during this festival in this town. Very dazzling and luxurious stalls gather, and different performances continue for two days. The festival is held annually on August 19th and the 20th, where many of the local participants and many tourists come and see. It exhibits a spectacle. It was registered as a Nation's designated significant intangible folklore cultural asset in 2015 for the Hanawa Festival stall event.
