八石八斗団子祭・だんごまつりとも言われ、新穀で団子をつくり奉納する五穀成熟感謝のお祭。年間100を超える祭事の中でも御神酒の奉献がない珍しい神事で、11月30日に行われる大饗祭の接待に当たった比売(神慰労のお祭りとも言われている。祭り終了後は、参拝者に団子が配られ、これを食べると風邪をひかないという言い伝えがある。

This thanksgiving festival for the ripeness of crops is also called Hachikoku hatto Dango Festival or Dango Festival, and dango (dumplings) are made with new grains then dedicated. In the over 100 rituals performed in the year, this rare ritual doesn't have a dedication of sake offered to the gods. It is told that this festival is reward festival for the Hime gods who attend Daikyosai festival on November 30. Dango are distributed to the visitors after the festival, and it is told that you don't catch a cold if you eat this.
