毎年3月1日、重藤の弓を使って農作物の豊作と凶作、天候の順不順を占って飢餓を避ける行事。射手は、地区の青年2人で儀式前に近くを流れる増間川中流の滝で身を清め赤い鳥居の下から43m離れた直径約2mの的に向かい、交互に36本の矢を射る。

Annually on March 1, this festival forecasts the crop harvests and weather to avoid starvation by shooting the Shigeto bow. Two young shooters from the town go to the waterfall in the middle section of the tributary of Masuma River to cleanse themselves, then shoot 36 bows taking turns from the red torii gate which is 43 m distance away to the 2 m diameter target.
