六所神社の祇園祭に、区長宅と神社で演じられる。古くは「風祭」ともいわれ、五穀豊穣の祈願や、雨乞いの意味があるとされている。
大獅子、中獅子、雌獅子の3匹の獅子が絡みながら舞う三匹獅子舞で、特徴は「お練り」と「念仏」が伴うことである。

The Lion Dance is performed at the mayor’s house and the shrine during Rokusho Shrine’s Gion Festival. Once known as the “kaze-matsuri” or “Wind Festival”, the festival was a way to pray for better crops and bring the rain.
There is the large lion, middle lion, and female lion, whose dance is characterized by them dancing together.
