毎年旧暦2月7日の近くの土・日曜、2日間にわたって行われる八坂神社の祭礼で奉納される。2人で1匹の獅子を演じる二人立ちの獅子舞で、神社のほか、西ノ下の集落の家々を1軒ずつ廻って舞う。八坂神社の祭礼では、役員達によってビシャと呼ばれる宴席が催され、即興の祝い歌などが披露される。
Every year, on February 7th of the Chinese calendar year, the closest weekend is when the festival dedication is performed at the Yasaka Shrine. It is a Shishimai dance that is performed by two people holding one Shishi (lion), and the dance is performed throughout the village and not just at the shrine. At the Yasaka Shrine annual festival, a banquet called Bisha is held by the committee members, where improvised amusement and songs are performed.
