大和の春を告げる祭りで13時30分から「お渡り」が行われ、総勢で200名を超える行列が2kmの道のりを往復し、その途中で立ち寄る「御旅所」では舞楽などが奉納される。「ちゃんちゃん」と鉦を鳴らしながら進むのでこの名称になった。
This festival tells the spring in Oyamato, "Owatari " is held at 1:30 PM, a procession consist of a total of over 200 people goes and return the 2 km distance, and court dances and music are dedicated at the "Otabisho" where they stop by on the way.
It was named Chanchan Festival because they proceed their way as ringing bells sounding "chanchan".
