750年頃から始まった法隆寺の創健者である聖徳太子の御命日法要。聖霊院では本尊聖徳太子摂政像のご開扉がある。供えられるお供物は、堂内の華やかな荘厳とあいまって、まるで極楽世界を演出しているかのようだと言われている。

It is the Buddhist service started in about 750 on the anniversary of the death of Prince Shotoku who built Horyuji Temple first.
The door of the principal image of Prince Shotoku statue is opened at Shoryoin. It is said that offerings match the gorgeous and dignified hall and it just stage the world of happiness.
