三重県桑名市で行われる祭で「日本一やかましい祭り」「天下の奇祭」として知られる。
３０台を超える装飾が施された祭車に鉦や太鼓をつけ、試楽日午前0時に一斉に叩き出しが行われ、見る者を圧倒させる。
2007年には国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定されている。
This festival in Kuwanashi in Mie Prefecture is known as “Japan’s noisiest festival” and “the strangest festival in the world”. 30 decorated festival floats with gongs and drums, all play at the same time at midnight, overwhelming the audience with noise. In 2007 the festival was designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset.
