「三重県のさかな」である伊勢えび。伊勢えび祭は、伊勢海老を代表とする海の幸への感謝と、豊漁と、安全を願う伊勢志摩の初夏を彩る祭りです。町の繁栄を祈願する式典で幕を開け、夕暮れともなると軽快な音色が海沿いの町に広がり伊勢えび囃子”にあわせて踊る「じゃこっぺ踊り」パレードや、巨大な「伊勢えび神輿」も登場します。

The Ise Ebi (Japanese Snipy Lobster) is the Prefectural fish of Mie. The Ise Ebi Festival is Ise-Shima region's early summer festival to give thanks to the Ise Ebi, which represents the products of the sea, and pray for good fishing and safety. Opens with a prayer ceremony for prosperity in the town, and in the later afternoon the shore lighten up with music where people dance to the Ise Ebi rhythm called the Jakoppe Dance, along with parades and a large Mikoshi of the Ise Ebi.
