瀬波大祭は西奈彌神社の祭礼です。
朝、神霊が神輿に移されると祭りの始まりを告げる先太鼓を先達に渡御行列が始まります。これに5台の屋台が続きますが先頭の浜町の屋台には、神社の祭神である気比大神が敦賀から海路を使い、瀬波の地に上陸したことに由来して、気比丸（お船様）が乗せられます。
屋台は夜遅くまで町内を練り歩きますが、人々の唄う祭唄は勇壮でテンポが速く漁師町の心意気が感じられます。
The Senami Large Festival is an annual grand festival of the Senami Shrine.
The festival start in the morning when the deities spirits moves onto the Mikoshi, and a large drum sounds the start of the parade. With five floats, the one leading from Hamamachi, Kehimaru is placed on the floats, representing how the deity of the shrine, the Kehi Deity traveled the sea and landed in Senami.
The floats parade around town till late into the night, and a brave fast tempo song is sung by the participants, showing the spirit of a fishing town.
