くじにより御神幸祭の神牛役を定めるという、全国的にも珍しい神事の一つです。
御神慮にかなった幸運な人は、11月に行われる御神幸祭まで神牛を飼育することになります。また、神牛のほかに、金・銀・銅の牛の置物をはじめ数千点の寄贈景品が福運者に授けられるとあって、新春の福運を占い願う参拝者で終日賑わいます。
この他、例年3日の午後から数回、年男による開運招福豆まきも行われます。

A nationally unusual festival where they choose the holy cow for the festival rituals through a draw.
The person who is chosen as the lucky guardian of the deity takes care of the holy cow until the festival in November. And besides the holy cow, gold, silver, and copper cow ornaments and thousands of other gifts and prizes are given to the lucky persons. Many people come to worship to receive good luck and good fortune from early spring time.
Besides this event, men born in the same zodiac year will perform the bean scattering ritual every year on the 3rd from the afternoon.
