鴻八幡宮例大祭は、岡山県指定重要無形民俗文化財です。
例大祭は10月の第二日曜日とその前日に斎行され、だんじりと１台の千歳楽が長さ80ｍの表参道の坂を駆け上がります。
岡山三大だんじり祭りに数えられ、だんじりから奏でる祭りばやし『しゃぎり』は岡山県重要無形民俗文化財に指定されています。

The Kohachimangu Shrine Annual Grand Festival is registered as Okayama-ken's Im-portant Intangible Folk Cultural Asset.
The annual grand festival is held on the second Saturday in October, and the day before, and a danjiri float and a Senzairaku float run up the Omotesando hill which is 80 meters in length.
It is counted as one of Okayama's Three Grand Danjiri Festival, and the festive rhythm that sounds from the danjiri called the "Shagiri" is registered as one of Okayama's Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset.
