江戸時代から続く火伏のまつり。古くから荒神輿として有名で、重さ約1トンの神輿を担手が担ぎ、昼十二時半に202段の表参道の石段を下り、市内を渡御し午後八時に再び表参道を登る。

The festival celebrated since the Edo era is to protect a community from a fire disaster. It is famous for Ara mikoshi since ancient times and people carry the mikoshi (a portable shrine) with a weight of about 1 ton, take down the stairs of 202 steps at Omotesando Street at 12:30 pm, go around the city and climb back up the stairs in Omotesando Street at 8 pm.
