古来より農耕馬に感謝する祭りとして知られ、200年以上に及ぶ伝統行事。色鮮やかな装束で着飾った100頭程の馬と馬主が、滝沢市鬼越蒼前神社で参拝し、盛岡八幡宮までの約13キロの道のりを約4時間かけて行進する。昭和53年に国の無形民俗文化財に指定され､平成8年にはチャグチャ馬コの鈴の音が環境庁「日本の音風景100選」にも選定されている。

Famously known as a festival giving thanks to dobbins from ancient times, continuing for over 200 years. With very colorful costumes on horses, over a 100 horses and their masters gather in Onikoshisouzen Shrine, Takizawa City, to worship. They parade the path to Morioka Hachimangu for 13 km taking approximately 4 hours. Registered as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset in 1978, and in 1996 Environmental Agency of Japan selected as one of the 100 Japanese Sonic Soundscape.
