佐賀県唐津市呼子町小友に伝わる“海を渡る山笠”で有名なお祭りです。
高さ15m、重さ3トン、錦糸銀糸で刺繍した見送り、五色の吹流しなどで飾り付けられた山笠を男達が担ぎ海中を練り廻ります。
This festival in Odomo-cho, Yobuko, Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, is also known as the “yamagasa floats across the sea” festival. Sending-off yamagasa at under 50 feet and weighing 3 tons is embroidered with tinsel and gold threads. It is an amazing sight to see yagagasa, which is decorated with five colored streamers, are being pulled along in the sea by a group of men.
