メインイベントは「国際大綱引き」「カーニバルパレード」。国際大綱引きでは、重さ約10トン、長さ約80メートルの綱が使われ、約2000人の参加者が東西に分かれて引き合います。市内には、米軍関係者やその他多くの外国人が居住していることから、日米対抗戦も行われます。また、カーニバルパレードには、サンバカーニバルの他、今年も公認サンタクロースがやってきます。

The main event is the Kokusaitsunahiki (International Tug-of-War) and Carnival Parade. In the Kokusaitsunahiki, a rope 80 meters long and 10 tons heavy is used, and about 2000 participants divide into the west and east groups to pull the rope and compete. Since there are many US military personnels and other foreigners living in town, a US vs Japan tug-of-war is also held. And besides the Carnival Parade and Samba Carnival, an official Santa Claus will also come this year.
