県内でも有数の規模を誇る、浦添市の夏の風物詩ともいえるお祭りです。
祭り期間中は、かつて琉球を納めた３王の繁栄の様子を演舞で披露する「浦添三大王統まつり」や、各地域の伝統舞踊を披露する「青年エイサー」、沖縄の中高生のバンド大会「サマーヤングフェスタ」、祭りのフィナーレを飾る花火大会など様々な催しが開催されます。

This festival is known as a summer tradition of Urazoe and is a popular event in the prefecture. During the festival, there is a dance performance called the “Urazoe Three Great Kings Festival” that originated from the local 3 kings of Ryukyu (now called Okinawa) to show their prosperity. There is a showcase of the traditional dance from each of the regions called “shonen (youth) eisa”, and a “Summer Young Festa” band tournament run by the junior and senior high school students of Okinawa. Also various other events including a fireworks display are held.
