秋の実りに感謝する祭りで１２００年前から伝わる伝統行事です。牛車に曳かれた御輿や、立烏帽子や天冠をかぶった子どもたちによる稚児行列を含めた御神幸パレードが櫛田神社を出発し、博多のまちを一巡します。パレードの他に五穀豊穣市、相撲大会、柔道大会などの多彩な催しが行われます。

It is a festival for a traditional ritual told down for 1200 years to give thanks to the harvests of fall. With a mikoshi pulled on a carriage, and a Chigo parade which is a goshinko parade where children are wearing Tateeboshi and crowns parading from Kushida Shrine, circle through the towns in Hakata. Besides the parade, various events are held such as a ceremony to pray for abundant harvest, a sumo tournament, and a judo tournament.
