多くの観光客が訪れる前橋市を代表する桜の名所で樹齢60年近いソメイヨシノが咲く約1.3ｋｍの市道は約1000本の桜が咲き誇り、満開時には見事な桜のトンネルとなる。桜まつり期間中は、郷土芸能・地元の新鮮な農産物などの赤城南麓物産市や、ステージパフォーマンス、大道芸など様々なイベントが行われ、夜間はぼんぼりの点灯、ライトアップにより夜桜見物が可能。

With over 1000 Someiyoshino cherry blossom trees over 60 years old lining the street for 1.3 km, the scene transforms into a beautiful cherry blossom tunnel during the blooming season. During the blooming festival season, the trees are lit up during the night, with local entertainments, and fresh local products at the Akagi Nanroku Products Market, stage and street performances are held.
