昔から、渋川は日本の中心といわれ、市のキャッチフレーズを「日本のまんなか緑の渋川」と制定、渋川産業の発展と活性化を図るとともに、市民が自由に参加し、子供の健全育成とふるさと愛を育てようと、開催された祭り。
へそ踊りパレードを中心とした様々なイベントが行われます。
Long ago Shibukawa was known as the center of Japan, and the city’s catch phrase was “Green Sibukawa, the bellybutton of Japan”. The locals participated freely in the festival which was held as a way to develop Shibukawa industries, and for children’s growth and the love for their hometown.
There are lot of events happening, but the bellybutton dance parade is central to the festival.
