吉原祇園祭は通称おてんのさんと呼ばれ、350年余りに渡って親しまれてきた。
富士市に夏の訪れを告げる吉原祇園祭は毎年6月の第２土曜日と日曜日の2日間にわたっておこなわれる。
各町内が飾り立てた21台の山車(だし)の引き回しや、各神社の神輿(みこし)が練り歩き、吉原本町通りには200軒を越す露店が並ぶ。

The Yoshiwara-Gion Festival is also known as Oten-no-san, and has been commonly known for over 350 years.
The Yoshiwara-Gion Festival brings word of summer for Fuji City, is held on the second Saturday and Sunday of June.
21 well decorated are pulled around from different parts of town, and different mikoshi's from various shrines are also paraded around. Over 200 stalls also line the streets of Yo-shiwarahoncho.
