佐沼夏祭りは登米市最大の夏祭りです。前夜祭では、商工会青年部主催による様々な企画イベントが行われ多くの家族連れで賑わいます。本祭では、ちびっこみこしパレードや郷土芸能佐沼鹿踊、手踊り・手曳き山車・七福どん燈などが練り歩くパレードなどが行われます。フィナーレを飾る花火大会では約3000発の花火が夏の夜空を彩ります。

Sanuma Summer Festival is Toyoma city’s biggest festival. At the festival, you can experience portable shrine parade by small kids, local entertainment Sanuma Shika dance, and the parade by hand dancing, float, and Shichifuku lanterns. Fireworks display closes the festival with about three thousands fireworks which color the night sky of summer.
