石尊神社は、御神体は日本武尊命（やまとたけるのみこと）だと伝えられ、火伏せの神として信仰されている歴史ある神社です。
腰蓑を着けた裸の厄男たちが、町舘地区を練り歩き、各家に水をかけて火伏せを祈願する「石尊さまの裸まつり」とも言われている伝統的な祭りです。

Sekihon Shrine is a historical shrine whose object of worship is said to be Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, and it enshrines him as a deity of fire disaster prevention.
It is a traditional festival that is also called Sekihon's naked festival where naked men who are in their Yakudoshi (a set of superstitious “unlucky” years in Japan) wear a grass skirt while walking around the Machitachi district and pray for no fire disasters by pouring water on each house.
