毎年5月の第3日曜日とその前日の2日間に宮城県仙台市で開催されるお祭り。土曜日に行われる宵祭りは、すずめ踊りや、復興祈願山鉾が市内を練り歩く。日曜日の本祭りでは、総延長約2.5Km、総勢4,000人による壮大な練り歩き「時代絵巻巡行」も行われる。また、特産品を集めた屋台や定番の出店なども軒を連ねる。
A festival held annually on the 3rd Sunday of May, and the day before, for two days. The eve festival is held on Saturday, with Suzume dance, and restoration prayer with Yamaboko on floats through town. On Sunday during the main festival, on a grand parade of approximately 2.5 km, 4000 participants perform the Jidai Emaki Parade. Streets filled with stalls selling regional products, and standard festival shops.
