鹿沼秋まつりは全国にある33件の国指定重要無形民俗文化財のお祭りと共に、2016年12月に、「山・鉾・屋台行事」としてユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されました。動く陽明門ともいわれる絢爛豪華な彫刻屋台26台が、鹿沼の街を勇壮に練り歩きます。見所は彫刻屋台（3台～7台）が交差点などで披露する「ぶっつけ」と呼ばれるお囃子の競演です。その激しいお囃子の競演は圧巻です。

Kanuma Autumn Festival started in edo era to remember the shardship of the past and pray for peace and good harvest. It features traditional music,taiko drumming and elaborate hand carved wooden floats. At evening, carving floats are coming out from imamiya shrine to the street one by one. The Floats, each with a taiko drumming team inside do musical battle as they pass each other in the street.
