埼玉県中西部・小川盆地にある小川町の市街地一円で開催される七夕祭り。伝統のある小川和紙をふんだんに使用した飾り付けが特徴。
竹飾りコンクールや小川七夕おどり、屋台の曳き回しなど様々な催しものが行われます。
また約2000発の花火が打ちあがる花火大会も行われます。

Ogawa’s Tanabata Festival is special because it uses an abundant amount of locally made traditional paper for the Tanabata decorations. There is a bamboo decorations competition and an Ogawa Tanabata dance, along with many other events including people pulling portable shrines. There is also a large fireworks display with over 2000 fireworks.
