約390年の歴史を誇る北九州市小倉の夏祭りです。
「全国三大祇園」や「福岡県の三大祇園祭」に数えられることもあり、福岡を代表する祭りの一つです。山車に据え付けた太鼓を叩き街中を練り歩き、ステージでは磨き上げた腕を競い合う「太鼓競演大会」も行われます。

The Kokura summer festival has been held in Kokura, Kitakyushu for around 390 years. It is considered as one of Japan’s three major Gion festivals, and also one of the third largests in Fukuoka Prefecture, and is one of the representative festivals of Fukuoka. Floats parade around the town twith drum beats.
