江戸時代の宿場町の頃に行われていた、星まつりに端を発したといわれる祭り。期間中は、中山道を歩行者天国にして、色とりどりのくす玉飾りや竹笹、創作飾り、大がかりな仕掛け細工が飾られます。
様々な出店が出店し、レンガ倉庫でのライブなども行われる。

It’s believed that this festival originated from star festival when Fukaya was a post town in the Edo period. During the festival the Nakasendo road is made into pedestrians only, and decorated with brightly colored banners and bamboo that drop down, and huge carefully crafted displays.
