他地域ではあまりみられないスタイルのお祭りで浜降りや市街地を突っ駆けるさまが見どころ。松原神社はもとは海神として漁師に信仰されていたため漁師の祭を起源とする「小田原担ぎ」という独特の神輿の担ぎかたが特徴である。

It is a style of festival not each elsewhere, where participants run through town, and have a Hamaori ritual. The deity enshrined in the Matsubara Shrine was originally a god of the seas, and worshiped by fishermen, which is the reason for the unique ritual of carrying the Mikoshi in a way called the Odawara Katsugi.
