鮭を奉納することから山倉の鮭祭りとも言われ、県指定無形民俗文化財にもなっている。奉納された潮漬けになった鮭は、祭り前日、小さい切り身にさばき護符として整え、当日参拝客に配られる。

It is also called Yamakura's Salmon Festival because they dedicate salmon, and registered as prefecture's Intangible Folk Cultural Asset. The salted salmon, after the dedication, is cut into small pieces on the day before the festival, and distributed to visitors as a charm on the festival.
