大胡祇園まつりは疫病退散を祈願する祇園祭です。
上州大胡風神太鼓の演奏や、企業・子供みこし、だんべえ踊りや歌謡ショーなど催し物が行われます。
荒々しく獅子が厄払いをする暴れ獅子の勇壮な姿は一見の価値有りです。

This is a Gion Festival to scare away plagues, with a performance with joshu daiko kazekami taiko drums, portable shrines carried by local businesses and children, danbe dances and singing. The heroic image of the wild lion rampaging about cleansing spirits is worth a look.
