江戸の商都の面影を残す佐原の町並みをめぐり、それぞれの商家自慢のお宝を見てもらう「佐原まちぐるみ博物館」を、佐原おかみさん会が運営。その企画展の一つとして、2月から「佐原雛めぐり」を開催しています。
佐原まちぐるみ博物館には現在42館（店舗等）が参加していますが、そのうちの半数以上で期間中、江戸・明治期の古びなや御所を模した建物に人形が収まる御殿飾りなど各家に伝わる大切な雛人形が店頭に飾られます。
また、伊能忠敬記念館や佐原町並み交流館などの周辺施設でも雛人形を飾るなど、まち全体で春の空間を演出しています。
