御輿の一斉かつぎや江戸後期屋台の引廻し、神輿の船渡しなど、漁師町ならではの威勢の良さが魅力の祭り。街を練り歩いた神輿が勝浦漁港から船に乗り漁港内と八幡岬の沖に浮かぶ平島を旋回する様は一見の価値あり。

The attractions for this festival is watching the participants carrying the Mikoshi around, pulling the cart around, and carrying the Mikoshi by boat, something only seen in a fishing village like Katsuura. The Mikoshi that was carried around town is taken to the Katsuura Port and put on a boat, and taken around Hirajima, an island out past the port and Hachiman Cape. It is surely a sight worth seeing.
