もとは歌舞伎の式三番叟という祝福舞に源をもつものであるが、農村部にも格式高い神事的な芸能として各地に広まったもの。毎年4月3日前後の日曜日に側高神社の拝殿で演じられている若者2人が持つ万灯を先導とした行列が側高神社まで練り込む。道中囃子とともに、何度か立ち止まって万灯振りを行う。

This is originally based on Kabuki Shiki sanbaso which is the blessing dance, but it was spread to agricultural areas as Shinto ritualistic high social entertainment. On Sunday around April 3, 2 young men with lantern lead the procession to Sobataka Shrine. On the way to the shine with festival music, they stop several times to perform "Bando Furi".
