2001年に、徳島県勝浦町よりおよそ7,000体のひな人形を里子として譲り受け始まったイベントで、期間中、市内各所に約30,000体のひな人形が飾られる。子どもたちが稚児の衣装で統一したひな行列や、土日は歩行者天国になり各種出店が行われる。

In 2001, approximately 7,000 hina dolls were given from Katsuura-cho in Tokushima, which initially started this event. And during the festival, approximately 30,000 hina dolls can be seen throughout town. There is a parade of children dressed in infant clothing, and on weekends, streets are turned into pedestrian’s paradise with all sorts of stall shops out on the streets.
